a BIG thank you very much!

Letter from the Chairman!

Dear all,

First of all a BIG thank you to all guests who attended the 5th Tara Bodong Champagne Party on Saturday 28 January. We hope you enjoyed the fun evening of Champagne drinking, socializing, dancing and silent auction bidding. I would also like to thank everyone who has supported us with buying tickets,  a beautiful location, delicious food donations, fantastic music and wonderful silent auction prices. Without this support the party would not have been possible. The evening was again a huge success. We have raised well over € 5000 (after costs).

Why do we organize an annual Champagne Party?

The Tara Bodong Foundation supports a girl’s educational project in the impoverished and remote town of Lumla, in the region of Arunachal Pradesh in the north-east of India. We support the building of a school and nunnery for young girls, where they will receive modern education. We have just finalized the first building and we have expanded our small sponsor program from 8 to 14 poor and semi-orphaned young girls. In the future we will need many more sponsors. We believe that organizing events where people can enjoy a fun evening, while at the same time supporting a good cause, is a successful formula.

Our special thanks go to the following:

Gooiland Events

We would like to thank Petroy and Philip from Gooiland Events for offering the fabulous location the Foyer Bar for the party and for catering for all our needs! And many thanks to the event team for the smooth operation on the evening!

Champagne Bar

Our popular Champagne Bar again operated by Geert, Ben and Lisa. A big thank you for keeping the glasses filled during the evening.

Music

Also a huge thank-you to DJ Lex, who for the 4th time in a row offered his musical services and played our favorite music wishes.

Food

A big thank you to everyone who donated the delicious food which we all enjoyed very much during the Champagne evening:

Priti, Jaya, Kandla and Shalini for all the home cooked Indian food.
Maria, Sandra and Silvia (our food coordinator) for all the other wonderful bites.

CAS students

I would like to thank all the CAS students from the ISH and ATC Hilversum for setting up, helping with registration, food preparation, serving and cleaning up. You all did a good job.
