Tents for Nepal - Timore receives 65 Tents

TaraBodong's ran a campaign to raise funds for tents in Nepal following the two disasterous earthquakes. Our tents arrive in Timore, a small village a few hours outside of Kathmandu

Pema Dorjee visit to the Netherlands 2013

Geshe Pema Dorjee's third visit to the Netherlands. The nunnery / girls'school is now in the first stage of construction and lots of money is still needed. Pema Dorjee is again sharing his Buddhist knowledge and wisdom with his supporters and raise awareness of the extreme difficult situation the girls in the surrounding villages of Lumla are living in.

The Tata Bodong Foundation organised a Champagne & Mistletoe Party featuring a champagne tasting by David Levasseur of the Albert Levasseur champagne house, a silent auction of many exiting items and lots of music.

Buy a Tulip. Help a Girl - Int'l Day Of The Girl - 11 Oct 2012

Join the Tara Bodong (NL) Foundation in celebrating the UN’s first-ever day dedicated solely to girls.The proceeds of the tulip bulb sale will go to the project to build a nunnery/ girls’ school for poor and orphaned girls in Lumla, in the Himalayan region of Arunachal Pradesh, North-East India. We have chosen the red and yellow colors because it is said that Red tulips signify love and Yellow means sunshine and happy thoughts, two things that we believe each girl is entitled to.

I am not a Tourist Fair

On Sunday October 7th we had the opportunity to have a stall at Expatica's "i am not a tourist" Expat Fair at the Beurs van Berlage in the heart of Amsterdam which serves the international community living, working and studying in the Netherlands, to promote the Tara Bodong Foundation and raise awareness for our girls' school project in Lumla, Arunachal Pradesh.

Ankeveen Art Fair

The TaraBodong Foundation had a stall at the Ankeveen Art Fair to raise awareness and money for our project the Girls' school in Lumla, Arunachal Pradesh in the North East of India.

Walk-a-thon 2012

Sunday 8 July we organised a walk-a-thon in Ankeveen. We had some 80 people signing up to walk. Unfortunately the weather was extremely poor but still there was a group of die-hard who walked no matter how hard the rain came down.

The Many Shades of Pinot Noir - Wine tasting evening in Laren

The Tara Bodong foundation organised in cooperation with Il diVino Wijnen a charity Pinot Noir wine tasting evening "The many Shades of Pinot Noir". The location was a beautiful private home in Laren (NH) what was once an artists atelier.

School Fairs

Tara Bodong initiated its fundraising efforts by operating a stall at the Summer Fair at the Violenschool IPS in Hilversum, June 2010. Here we sold a wide range of products from shawls to jewellery, bags and trinkets all coming from India and made by Tibetan refugees.

Pema Dorjee visit to the Netherlands 2012

Following a successful visit in 2011, Geshe Pema Dorjee returned to the Netherlands for the second time to visit the supporters of the Lumla nunnery / girls' school and raise awareness and funds for the project.

Charity Champagne Tasting, Novemer 2011

Tara Bodong organised a Charity Champagne Tasting at a friend's house. David Levasseur, who grows and produces his "Levasseur" brand of champagne in France supplied the champagne and explained the different varieties.
